    WTB: Mercury High Five 17P

Well, I still can't get over 4100 with my 19P High Five and even switching to a 4 blade prop didn't help. I like everything about my High Five except the revvvvvvs :). So, If you have a 17P High Five kickin' around... I'd be a needin' it. Cheers, Sean

another great one in the books

Newmarket is a bedroom community of Toronto. Much closer to Buffalo, NY than Rochester (other end of the big lake). I used to go regularly to Muscatine Iowa, for the former company (Bridgestone/Bandag) but, haven't been in the corn belt for a while. My boat is 43 years old and also...

another great one in the books

WOW... I'm not expecting to be out of the water until Mid October. (And then it's time for the 5 year varnish job :) ) Glad you had a good season. Yesterday, our boat club was at Lindsay, Ontario to display at the town "rib fest" event. We then went for a tour of Sturgeon Lake and a...

    Too nice

Okay, so I finally got the Solas HR4 19p bolted up. As a recap; I love everything about the current High Five 19p prop but, I can only get 4,100 rpm at WOT and I would like to stretch the engine's legs to the Merc specified 4,800 (she's been dyno'd to 5,200). The theory was that one less...

    Too nice

Couldn't try the new prop because the damn anode was in the way. I had a flat anode but, not the tools to change it. So, I just went for a nice boat ride with the current prop. I'll go back up this week (with tools) and give 'er another go.

    Boating season has begun

I have one on my bench right now. I have disassembled it and after clean-up painting I will take it to my "guy" for re-assembly. IMHO, this is the major module of the entire drive system. It requires a practiced hand (or at least a practiced observer/coach) to get this thing right. There's an...

    VIP Vindicator logo

As a last resort, you could use tracing paper to get the proper "outline" then have a graphic artist re-create your design. Time consuming and expensive YES! But, this will get the job done.

    How/where to sell 1961 Clyde

Try your local chapter of the ACBS. There are plenty of ACBS web sites (and woody boat shows) that have places to sell. Also try posting in the classifieds of "WoodyBoater" http://classified.woodyboater.com/ There's also the Antique boat center... http://classifieds.antiqueboat.com/
