Well, the Greavette is home and the DeFoul is on... and hopefully working in the 5*C weather. The drive is off and it will be at the shop today. The big news is that another Formula Jr. has found me! And the price is right... unfortunately, the boat is in South Florida... but, this will not...

Well, There were just too many things I needed to change to make my vision of this boat come true (besides all the resto work). So, last fall I sold her to a local kid that seems quite keen to restore her to original. But, never fear... I always seem to have project sh*t around the corner...

Finally, the 2016 boating season is about to start in earnest. I went Saturday to get my Greavette out of storage and bring it home. Other than the fact it rained all day (similar to the day I put it away) it's not a big deal. Except that in late afternoon, it SNOWED! And... then Sunday...

Sounds like it will be great. None of my boats have sound systems.... but, I'd like to find a marine unit I can mount out of eyesight (with a remote) where I could hook into my iPod . Sadly, I'm just not that much of an audiophile to do the research......

Just got some bad news...... my varnisher is too busy to get my boat in! Now I don't know what to do...

I hope it's here to stay! I have lots to do to the Greavette. First I'll top up the air in the trailer tires. Next, I need to pull the drive for a gear change from 1.50:1 to 1.65:1 and install a new impeller while I'm in there. Also, while she is apart, she will go in for a fresh varnish job...

Last Saturday, there was no snow. My lawn was green and it was warm out. Today(Friday) we are just recovering from a mid-week storm... my lawn has 1.5 feet of snow and it's cold again. They say that this weekend the highs will be above freezing and the forecast says no more below freezing...

I had only shovelled twice this winter... until yesterday and today now that makes 4 times. I wish global warming were true :)

Our kids are 19 & 15 now so, we have dialed the "gifting" way back. Funny, I can't even think of anything I want.... We spend Christmas eve with my best friend (since childhood) and his family. They are of a European background so, that's their Christmas day.... we enjoy a great meal...
