Here is when I start removing the paint . Who ever had painted this before didnt do to bad of a job . The piant is thick its just old and faded and a little hard to remove ....

I bet this thing really looked nice when a good friend of mine sold this new . It has a really nice gold/orange color . The door bell just rang and it was fed ex dropping off my new fuel tank ...
You can see the old Merc in the back ground sitting on the stand waiting on me to get to the point to tear it down and send off to Wayne in south carolina to have rebuilt .

After some measuring and some searching I found a gas tank with in my measurements and fits perfect under the splash well and its 12 gallons which is all I need the lake my home is on is only 115 acres so 12 gallons is fine .

Im trying Chris . Work gets in the way alot though . My days off are sunday and tuesday so between doing all my running around that I need to do on those days Im also in the garage doing as much as I possibly can in the time I have . Im trying my best to get this thing in the water this summer and shes getting really close .....
I feel your pain brother.
When you're busy, it's not just about finding the time, but it also becomes about trying to find the energy!

Also had to do some repair work . Most of that is finished now . Im off today so im gunna do some more sanding on the splash well where I repaired some cracks ...

I had the top back off too and did alittle more underneath it . I filled in all the windshield holes because Im now going to put it back on ... Here are some of the other spots fixed

This was 2 weeks ago today . Pushed her out in the drive way so I could get the top back off ... My dad stopped by and gave me a hand . We got alot done that day . Hopefully today goes just as good

Today was another good day . I have the top ready for primer now . It almost got it today but just ran out of time .... My dad fixed a spot where it was wavey and it bothered him . I could have cared less but He has done body work for years and it bothered him so he fixed it lol

He said before he left he might stop back by sometime this week before I leave for work and so I can help take the top back off and push the boat out in the drive and He will primer it while Im at work ... That works for me lol

Well I guess tuesday will be primer day . The next few days will be just to busy and I work those days so It will wait till tuesday when Its my day off ..... It will be a super early day for me . Get up early and get it all wiped down so when dad get here he cant start spraying
