That's really neat!
Thanks for sharing. :thumb:
If you like, you can also upload those pics to our photo-gallery.
If you want to do that, let me know and I'll create a section for Starcraft boats. :)

We had a really nice Canada day weekend up here in Canook land.
It was really nice and warm and sunny all weekend.
I was working on fixing up one of our docks - I sanded part of it and put down some nice stain. I'm hoping this upcoming weekend I can sand the ramp that leads to it and...
I gather those are stickers that are on the front of the boat, on both sides?
If so, those are the registration numbers for the boat.
The HIN will be stamped into the transom of the boat, typically into the hull and it will be located just below the rub-rail. If your boat is pre-mid 70's...
It's looks like it's a Cutter by what you described.
They're still around and are affliated with Grew.

There should be a HIN stamped into the back of the hull, it should be right below the rub rail. The last two digits will be the year. The first three...
Good luck with the search.
Buying a new boat has always been a very memorable event for me, I hope it will be for you as well.
Let us know how you make out. :)

I would get it checked out thoroughly. A check over by a good mechanic is always a plus.
At the very least, a compression test or even better yet, a leakdown test should be part of that check over.
Good luck and let us know how you make out. :)

The Merc XR6's weren't made until 1992 or so, so it will be from at least that time of after.
Personally, I think the 2.5 L Mercs which the XR6 is are one of the best motors Merc has ever made. The VRO is an acronym for a oil injection system which is on that motor. It stands for Variable...
The weather was a lot nicer this weekend. :thumb:
I got a bunch of work done which was nice.
I've got a few pics I'll post later of the sunset on Saturday night. :)

Man that's heartbreaking.
Very sad.
I'm glad to hear you're in good shape though other than a bit of crappy weather.
The bugs at our cottage are pretty bad this year, I guess with all the rain that's made helped them along in the breeding department. Hopefully the warmer and drier...
We swapped our Sierra 1500 Crew for a Crew Cab Colorado and the gas savings has been substanial so far.
I'm getting about 650-700K per tank on the highway and my average fill is 55-60 Litres per fill.
With the Sierra, we were getting about 600K on 90-100 litres of gas.
The full size sure...
You're lucky John. :thumb:
We've had really crappy weather around here as well. Rain, rain and more rain - plus it's been cold as well.
We're you effected by the flooding at all? Hope not!
