have you tried ebay motors? I had an engine just like yours and I found many parts for them for sale at a good price. if you look at Iboats first you can see what years and HP have the same parts so you have an idea of what will fit.
looking at their website and brochure to have the fish finder feature you have to have the d model. I wonder that if you pull the cap for the sonar if there is even any pins in it.
here is an answer from their website
The leaf blower would work better than the compressor as it is more like the actual pump. I would say go to your local hardware store and get a couple if pvc coupler to step down to the correct size. it may take a few couplers to step in all the way down. maybe use some flex hose at some point...
if you have a t-top use this http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-Marine-MGH300-Waterproof-Housing/dp/B000K6INOO and mount it about you. if not use the same thing and mount it to the console in front of you. you can also get one of the radios that has a wired remote so you can mount the radio inside...
the price depends on the shape of the parts. is the motor locked? is the head cracked? is it complete? those are all questions that you will be asked. I would either chose a price you are comfortable with and start a little higher. your just put make offer on it. a full engine that runs...
since you are buying it knowing that it needs a restoration I would focus on the motor. Make sure it is not locked up. take a battery or use cables to see if it turns over. if you can test the conpression in the motor. then just walk around the boat looking for major damage. pull the motor...
I just noticed that like me your are from texas. so i would make sure you can find the title or talk the owner of record into getting a new one. you do not want to deal with texas parks and wildlife if you do not have a title. I walked away from a 100 dollar deal on a decent boat because they...
It looks like a cool boat. I would get in it and walk around and move the leaves to see the floor and how bad it maybe. Is it worth it? only you can answer that. how much do you like the boat and do you think that you will enjoy it. most boats are a labor of love not a money making...
sorry to hear that! I fill your pain I had to let a checkmate go because I could not restore it. good luck on the sell or hopefully you can find a way to restore it.
If I remember right they had a plate on the starboard size just forward of the transom. you may also want to contact polarkraft to see if they can help
