I finally got a chance to adjust the the fender mount to give more room for the tires. I had to grind the welds to get the brackets off the frame. but I bolted it back on so If I need to adjust it later I can. and of course the best part is my helper

I have decided to rebuild the carter that came on the boat because I found a rebuild kit on eBay for $30. I was not surprised at what I found when I opened it up tonight. But I do believe this would cause the issues I am seeing with the motor bogging down.
