It's funny, I don't usually fish for compliments on my boat. I love my boat but, I am always happy to hear others appreciation.(and it does draw some attention) In this case I asked for the support for a couple of reasons... 1) It was a contest and the prize was admission to the museum...

Thank-You for the support! I finished 7th out of 42 very nice boats. I suppose I'll still have to pay my entrance to the Clayton museum tho.... :)

Stainless steel for me. You may try powder coating. But, It gets expensive if you need to keep re-doing it. The alternative is to pick up an old oven at the junkyard and DIY!

Those mini vans are a great appliance! Whenever we take the family to Florida we rent one.... good for haulin' whatever....

Wow!!!! exciting first race of the season. Great drive by Nico Rosberg. Lots of surprises up and down the grid....even a 2nd place DQ for Red Bull. Too bad for Daniel Riccardo at his home GP and the first Aussi to stand on the podium....all for naught.

F1 2014 starts TONIGHT!!!!! Yay.

Oh, It's going to be an interesting F1 season!!! New chassis, new motors, new aero rules and some great driver line-ups. There will be fighting teammates, a champion with a sub-standard engine new fuel rules (still crappy Pirelli tires), points changes, car unreliability, old teams resurging...

Well, the new F1 season gets cranked up in a week......... So, I'm done with NASCAR until next year. :)

I only watch one NASCAR race a year (unless I happen to catch a road course race). I'm more of a Touring car/endurance, and F1 fan.... :bounce:

I attended a fantastic workshop yesterday with the boat club. First topic... varnish, paint and prep. by the Epifanes distributor for Canada. Very informative and got a "bible" on the subject free! Afternoon topic... epoxies. Mostly discussed WEST SYSTEM , glassing techniques, tools...

every year I attend a "Daytona" party with my old racing buddies.... We have been doing this almost 25 years. I can live with rain 2 out of the last 3 years but, this year we waited about 5 hours of "delay time" and figured NASCAR would repeat2012 and run the race Monday....so we went home...

You Canadians will know what this is. Now we have re-asserted our claims on Hockey and Curling... we can all get back to our boats!
