I would go with a pontoon with a bigger engine than the basic 40hp thats on most. My freind has a 24 foot pontoon with 60hp and it runs 16 mph and sucks a lot of fuel. I would atleast get a 90-115 a bigger engine will not have to work so hard and burn less fuel.
I don't know about where you are at but around here things are not getting any better only worse. They keep driving taxes up on everything and now gas is creeping up. They are starting to kill the guy thats still working to make up for the ones that are not.

Maybe Obama would like to take part in the boat industry. Any man is a fool to put a dime in any recreational biz right now. You cant even save a car lot much less a boat lot.

I use wesley's white wall cleaner. I also always squirt before I go out some dawn dish soap in the bottom so when I do get water in the boat it cleans as you ride. :bigthumb:

It depends on if you have a vacuum advance or mechanical advance. A vacuum advance works off the distributor like most cars from the sixties to the 90's.. Generally around 2000 rpms a vacuum line from the carb pulls a vacuum pod on the distributor which advances the timing for higher rpms. And a...
Their are several things that can cause popping at high rpms. But lets not get into that until after your tune up. While doing your tune up make sure the advance is working on your dist.
They pulled the Big Chevy out and stuck a stock 496 in it. But the price is dropped now from 84 to 68. The 04 blue flame one has a 638 chevy with 750hp and its for sale for 65 now never titled.

Yes any Certified mech. can change this rather quickly. This is a common thing and they should be able to tell you right over the phone exactly how much it will cost right down to the penny. :thumb:
