    ~ !!!!!! GOT to figure out a way, !!!!!!~

I haven't ever done much in the way of advertising to be honest. I basically run the forums for fun and to share the love of boating with others, so there really isn't an advertising budget. The one thing we have done, is a bit of advertising with Google. So we're mostly depending on word of...

    Winterization suggestion

The most important winterizing considerations relate to making sure your boat is prepared to deal with below freezing temperates. -Chris

    ~ !!!!!! GOT to figure out a way, !!!!!!~

I think some of that just goes with bigger sites. I guess when you get enough people in one place, there is bound to be a few bad apples. The site is growing, there's no doubt there. Month by month, year by year things are slowly increasing bit by bit. So I'm sure we'll get there in time...

    User Rank Titles-We need some!

Hey Fellas, Basically to set something up, we need to pick some post count levels and then assign names to go with them. So here's some post count levels that we can assign some names to, in order to get things started. :) 0- 25- 50- 100- 200- 300- 400- 500- 600- 700- 800- 900- 1000- 2000-...

    ~ !!!!!! GOT to figure out a way, !!!!!!~

Hey Guys, Keep in mind, the board is still fairly new in relative terms as it's only a few years old. And the board is slowly growing each and every day and month. So we'll get there, especially with the help of great members like yourselves. :) -Chris

    Boat Crash!

I found it a little ironic that the guys in the boat chasing it, weren't wearing PFDs. Personally, given that the boat was on the shoal and it appeared to still be sorta running, I would have been a little more weary of swimming up to it from the front. But that's just me I suppose. ;)...

    Eng revs but loses power

I'm not sure what prop you have but... On many there is a hub that is pressed into the center of the prop. What can happen, is that the hub can sometimes start to break loose and then slip under load. So that's why I was suggesting you try another prop, to see if that clears up the problem...

    # of post status ??

BT pretty well hit the nail on the head. To set it up, we need names for the various levels and then the particular count associated with it. If you guys have some ideas, let's hear them. The other thread BT linked might be the best spot to do it though. :) -Chris

    Eng revs but loses power

If the engine is running fine and then you start to lose power and the engine revs increase, perhaps the hub in the prop is starting to slip. IF that's the case, I would try changing the prop to see if that cures the problem. Hopefully you have a spare prop you can try. :) -Chris

    thermostat perhaps

I always start by looking at the pump and working from there. Sometimes it's the impeller itself, it can also be something like the rubber coupler that joins the pump outlet tube inside the leg. I'm not familiar with Tohatsu, but some motors have flush mechanism that you can use to flush...

Good for you. :thumb: I usually try to keep one boat in the water at the cottage, until late in the year as well. Many times I have the lake to myself in November. :) -Chris
