i would be curious to see if there was a safety/speed sensor that tries to prevent trimming while at speed. If there wasn't, it would HAVE to be a short. Wish I could help more. Little experience with outboards

5200 is great stuff, if used correctly. not good for sealing huge holes though

thanks for the explanation. makes sense. feel like the analogy of putting smaller tires on your car is somewhat similar. works a little less hard at low rpm, with less mass to spin, so less resistance. If Im bored one day ill slap on the stocker and see what happens. :) just that the SS...

Our Glastron sx175 I/O has a bad Faria tachometer. I took it out to make sure it wasnt just a ground. It is just frozen.....so, I just put it back in and did not reconnect (looks better than a hole) LOL just while I search for a new one. BUt...I am getting the boat winterized next week. will it...

Perfect boat for us, everything we need, nothing we don't. needs: 8 passenger, compact sized, small engine, bench back seat, not old bow rider. I think were going to enjoy it!

well I pushed back the winterization to next week... supposed to be nice. I want one more ride dangit! :) I kept a thermostat controlled mini heater in the engine bay.... worked nicely.... Engine area is HUGE on this boat, since it has the back bench seat.... thermo set at 60. it would run for...
