A little update on that cav plate... you can get replacement metal from a place called "skeg depot", that piece WITH semi circle half of the depression for the zinc plate was 29 bucks shipped. friendly folks on the phone, too. Down in Tx... Having a friend here weld it this week....

agreed! Its not that big a hassle to mix your gas after you get the hang of it. I hate injection systems... this is from the atv world perspective. I dont imagine its different. Was reading something about yamaha 2 stroke boat motors having oil failures too... Id lose it.

are we talking about the same carburetor? I have the 2 barrel "mercarb" anyways, Yeah all my knowledge comes from Mikuni carbs...i think that would be the spring and main needle. I know what you're saying. Makes sense to me.. no matter what its called :) .......rebuild kit is on its way...

well, thanks Mike....for popping in. do you mean the accelerator pump? I Plan on rebuilding the carb soon, that'll get a look by default. I've had a myriad of suggestions....that ones come up a few times.. or adjusting the arm that pushes the pump.... I appreciate all suggestions.... I REALLY...

haha sweet! locally, Ive seen guys just load their jon boat with a quad, and cruise out to the mississippi islands.... awesome and ingenious...but gutsy. one bad wave toodles goes your quad lol. they have hunting cabins out there.....pretty cool really.

Ive forgotten the model, Either Manitou or Premier, but that one I saw with I/O was FULLY decked out. had huge stereo waketower, seating for 16 i think...and a wet bar with fridge. it had the country song (not a country fan) "pontoon" playing pretty loud... Serving cold beer right next to that...

yeah. wow. barked up wrong tree there LOL we do have diesel at our marina. on the mississippi. but 19,000 dollars. pretty sure fuel availability is a non issue for me LOL. Maybe buy a wrecked one and marinize the motor and put it in my little runabout.....but even that...jeesh...
