Hey John!
If the Jets return to Winnipeg, do they become your defacto favourite team?

Let's hope it happens! :bounce:

Hey Guys,
How is the boating out your way?
I guess I've always had the impression (probably incorrect) that there isn't a lot of big boating spots in Saskatchewan and Alberta unless you head up north.
It's big in Toronto to have a weekend cottage an hour or two outside the city and...
Will, be sure to check out the full zero feedback systems as well. If you're running with any serious power, they're really great. You can literally let go out the wheel and it stays put. No pulling to either side or anything like that.
Let us know how you make out. :)

It most likely would have had a capacity plate at one time.
It probably would have listed the serial number, maxium HP and manufacturer info as well. It might also have a spot for the model number or name as well.
I guess all of that depends on how old it is though. I know some of our old...
I did some googling...
Check this out...

There is a company in Alameda California called United Engineering Company that built a lot of big battle ships as well as navy type vessels, I wonder if it's the same company...
I'm not sure how old it is, however, if it was made after the mid 70's it should have a hull indentification number on it. The first three letters of the HIN corrospond to a manufacturer. They should be letters.
Perhaps these two sites might help explain it in a little more detail. :)...
Hi Will,
If you can't find the official Mercury branded lines...
Have you tried looking with one of the other supplier's like Teleflex?
They also have Zero Feedback Hydraulic systems available as well that are really nice. I think they call those lines Sea Star and Bay Star...
It shouldn't be too much work. But yes, you'll have to swap out the controls I would think, as well as look at what you'll have to do with the guages (if anything).
Depending on the models involved, you may have to do some work even if you stick with a Merc as well.

If you can sneak up to it, get the HIN off the back of the transom. ;)
The HIN will be stamped into the rear hull, just below the rub rail. The first three letters correspond to a particular manufacturer. So if you get the HIN, we can probably figure out the manufacturer and then we can go...
Hi Karl,
We had a bit of a melt last week up here in Toronto as well. But it's back to the cold since but they say it'll warm up a bit in a few days, I've got my fingers crossed! Spring can't come soon enough!
Let us know how you make out with your quest for a new windshield. :)
-Chris
Welcome aboard Karl. :)
I gather you tried all the obvious routes like going to your local dealer etc.?
Also, many items on boats are actually made and supplied by third parties, (Taylor is a popular supplier of windshields), have you looked on the windshield itself it to see if there are...
