The little snap chain for my ignition key "floatie" kept easily unsnapping...
So, first I stole a new chain from the nail clippers in my wife's car glovebox. (replaced it with the defective chain so she'll never know).
Then after re-installing the floatie and ignition key I used a length of wire heat shrink over the snap. Heated it up and VOILA! secure key.
The heat shrink was even the same yellow as the floatie! Stylish too
