I have a 9.8 nissan outboard with a 4 blade prop 8.7x7 but this motor will not plane my 12 ft alum boat will a higher pitch prop help the boat will almost plane now . Thanks

it should help you get out of the hole on take off. you may also try a 3 blade prop all props have different feels on how they move the boat.

Have you tried adjusting the tilt/trim pin?

If you lower that down a bit, that might help.

You could also try moving some weight forward like the gas tank.
