Choosing a Boat Name

I had a friend name his boat sea hag. I asked him why he named it that. He said he named it after his wife. I laughed and said that's not nice. He said he named it that so if they divorced he did not have to change the name. :rof:

It would cost me too much to divorce my wife and, IF I ever did...there'd be no boat to name.

My kids named ours "sweet lemonade"

Not sure you guys have heard the song? "amazing horse" I had it on an old ipod, which I gave to my son, and forgot to erase when I did so....it's moderately dirty, but oh so hysterical and catchy.

anyhooo...we were in the ozarks, kids swimming CRAZY hot out.. every time they jump in the water, they would sing the song.

Didnt think much of it it, other than it was funny and cute.

As it turns out, "sweet lemonade" was their code for taking a whizz in the water. LOL!!! because in the song, it means horse whizz

I named my boat "Whale Shark," but since I keep it permanently in Mexico, I use the Spanish name "Tiburon Ballena" and had that lettered on the boat. The name came about when I was on a cruise with some friends and we had a surprise opportunity during a dive trip to swim with whale sharks. We were so stoked by it that everytime we saw each other on board, we would yell, "Whale Shark!" It was shortly after that cruise that I bought the boat, and the name just came naturally.

I bought the boat used, but there was no name on it. We still did the christening ceremony.
