Boat's out!

After a great boating season (just 4 months long) we had our last run on Sunday. With a friend in his 21' Greavette and me with our 18' Greavette we cruised the chain of lakes near Huntsville, Ontario ; Lake Vernon, Fairey Lake and Penninsula Lake.

It was a warm day with sun and some puffy clouds. To set off the picture the leaves on the trees were changing, and while not at their peak, they were still spectacular. Stopped for lunch at a nice pub in downtown Huntsville for wings & a bevvy too.

I had previously not been on these lakes. We travelled the old steamboat canals and visited some of the 5 star resorts along the shore. Lake Vernon reminded me of Muskoka of old... not too crowded out by cottages with calm water and plenty to see. at one point the lake was like glass and I let my Greavette eat at WOT for quite a while!

All back on the trailer by 3PM... it was a Great day

Okay, time for depression to set in.......... the boat is now winterized and tucked away for the till the white stuff goes away. (It actually snowed there today)
