Ritz Camera Centers Inc. the parent company of Boater's World, has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Ritz operates approximately 130 Boater's World Marine Center locations.

Here's a small update to the story.

Ritz Camera the parent company of Boater's World has filed a motion in bankruptcy court seeking approval to sell Boater's World.

It appears the assets and inventory of the Boater's World stores will be liquidated and the chain will be shut down.
