2008 Mercruiser 496 will not throttle up.

Hi. My Mercruiser 496 will run when first started up. But after warming it will not go past idle without braking up. Any thoughts? Thanks for any info . Mike.

have you done a complete tune up? also check all your grounds and electrical connections.

Thanks for the reply. I took boat to a marine tech. I had a bad riser temp sensor and a bad block pressure sensor. They put the engine into safe mode. Waiting to get it back tomorrow to test it out on the water!
