What is the difference between the Mercury 2.5 ltr 175hp and the 2.5 ltr 200hp?

I believe it is the tune on the motor. other than that they are the same.

What do you mean by tune?

on the new motors the computer can be adjust on the timing and the amount of fuel being delivered. on the older motors the 200 usually had bigger carbs.
