It gets bad out sometimes . If there is alot of boats out it gets real wavey. But its only 115 acers so its not super huge but perfect to ski and tube . We are in the heart of the Huron National Forest so we have lots of trees lol

My New 15ft Mercury Ride guide cable came today :D Along with a few other things Like New set of Moly piston rings . I also have new plugs on the way and brand new upper and lower motor mounts . There are still just a few little things I still need but other than that I have most my parts .

I loved going out on this boat when I was a kid. Now I have one myself . I tell Sammie all the time Thanks . If it wasnt for him selling that to my dad in 77 I would most likely never gotten into Checkmates or boats period . Now I will always own a Checkmate and Mercury Outboards ....:surf:

It was the first time that 3 of them had ever been up to the lake and they just loved every minute of it . They had the perfect weekend for it too was in the mid 90's that weekend and water was in the low 80's . The lake temp was just awesome this past summer . I spent alot of time in the water...

Here is the finished project ..... New Mercury 150 hp decals new paint ... Took here back to 1975 ....

Check her out . All freshened up with a Nice fresh coat of paint . This turned out so much better than I thought it would . Dad did a great job . He will be painting my other 150hp inline along with my Vmate :D....

Now time for some new paint Dad out doing his thing. We used jet black paint with super wet look hardener . What a difference . Just those few pieces looked so good . Cant wait to see the rest and put on some new Decals
