Yesterday, a buddy of mine dropped off a 1995 Checkmate Brochure for no apparent reason. Talk about some interesting photos! Lots of local characters and a boat I have never seen or heard of, the DECKMATE! Have you ever seen this one?

I think you hit the nail on the head. Something else that I havent seen discussed anywhere is is Checkmates drastic need for some updated boats. Thats been the biggest complaint Ive heard for years. Some of the new boats coming out of there before Smith took over were so dated looking...

Its getting confusing to be quite honest. I can understand if someone doesnt like that particular design, but come on.......its just one model in the line up. And its built to Checkmates usual standards. I will tell you straight up their gel work is far superior to anything Baja ever put out...

I'll be heading out Sat morning for Miami, then on to the keys for a photoshoot. Looks like I'll be gone till sometime in April. I agreed to this as long as I could fly home at least once or twice to see my kids. Other than that I'll be a boatin son-of-a-b*tch! :eyecrazy:
