well I made it out today but when the fuel filter was just about dry and did not want to get away from the bank. I guess I am going to drain the tank again to make sure it is clean. the lake must be my kryptonite. works great in the driveway but messes up at the lake.
doug has been very ill from what I have heard. they are trying everything to stay afloat (no pun intended). they have set up another location for parts and interior. so they are not gone yet.
we plan to take it out this weekend but the next thing I have to do is get a propeller shaft bearing cage for the lower unit as it has just started leaking a small amount of oil. the one on it has been repaired and I am afraid that if I take it off it will break. so I will check the oil lever...
I got some more done on the pontoon. finished painting the motor just to make it look better
I also finished replacing the head on the trolling motor that I picked up
I also got the mount on the front plus I picked up and installed a 3 step telescoping ladder for $30 from ebay. also...
sounds like a short of some sort. but trim should not effect the idle or speed. have you checked the throttle cables to make sure they are not moving with the trim.
I was down at my parents this weekend and decide it was time to pull this out of storage and start to rebuild it so my girls and I can enjoy it.
1985 Honda 125m ATC three wheeler.
it has been in storage for at least 5 years and I spent most of my child hood on it. needless to say...
I installed the "on demand fuel valve" first but it did not fix the issue. I read a bunch of people online saying that on the old outboards they were having to leave their caps loose or they were putting on their old caps off of the old tanks. so I put the cab (with a vent) off one of the...
The only way the lake level will be back is with a huge amount of rain in the area and in the northern lakes. they almost need a flood to refill the lake.
nope now has no vent. if I left the old cap tight I could go back out side later and the tank would be almost ready to blow from the pressure.

yep and it is on the north side. I had a friend that had a new dock built and used it for two day before he had to get the boat off. then about two days later there was only a few inches of water under it then after a week it was on the ground.
here is an aerial video from march 14, 2013...
this is more of a lesson that the epa can mess up a few thing. the main issue ended up being both the new atwood tank and the primer ball. the new tank have to be up to the EPA regulations to not allow gas fumes to escape. so there is no vent on the new tank unless you leave the cap loose. so I...
yes there is a huge dam. that is a result of our drought conditions that we have been in around here. it also does not help the big lake (Travis) that there is a constant level lake above (LBJ) and below (Austin). without a lot of rain she is going to drop even more than it is now. Right now...
