I looked in my manual which lists the 71 model, so I'm not sure if it's the same as yours. According to the wire schematic a solid purple and purple yellow goes to the thermo switch assembly. Not sure if yours is the same, but hope that helps. -Chris

I'm not sure what the specs would have been new for that model. But the main concern is usually that you have even numbers or at least within 10% or so of one another. So you would seem to be in good shape. :) -Chris

Keep in mind there are some bio-friendly options as well, if that's an important factor for you. Lots of soaps etc. have phospate in them which isn't too great for your lake. -Chris
