I looked in my manual which lists the 71 model, so I'm not sure if it's the same as yours.
According to the wire schematic a solid purple and purple yellow goes to the thermo switch assembly.
Not sure if yours is the same, but hope that helps.

I'm not sure what the specs would have been new for that model.
But the main concern is usually that you have even numbers or at least within 10% or so of one another.
So you would seem to be in good shape. :)

Keep in mind there are some bio-friendly options as well, if that's an important factor for you.
