Thrust - Horsepower

I just got a Minn Kota trolling motor to put on my Fish Hunter 360. The motor says "50 ft thrust" how much horsepower is that? I have to stay under 10 horsepower b/c I dont have a boaters license. Please help me

Just curious, And I think chris will know this, I thought the law was only for gas engines only with in a certin hores power range for the boaters license thing, Or am I wrong??? thank's
