Hi Gilligan,

I know Merc dealers sell Merc touch up paint. Perhaps, Suzuki does the same?

How did you make out with the special tool you were looking for?

Did you try that site that I found?

-Chris
Yes i did
But it would have taken too long to get here
Maybe i can get the local Marine place if they have the tool to tighten it up
And only cost maybe 20 bucks

I have bought some White paint today that will have to do for now
I am beadblasting the gearcase back to bare metal
So it sould look great when finished
Thanks again for your help

I'd be interested to see your blaster set up. I've always wanted one, but never really seriously looked into getting one. :)

You may know this, but just in case you don't, it sounds like you will be completely removing the old paint down to bare metal, so it's important that you get the proper primer.

Many of the older motors were originally primed with a zinc-chromate primer which you may, or may not be able to get now for envioromental reasons. What you most likely will be able to find as a substitute is a zinc-phosphate primer.
