Pulling a skiier with a cruiser

I am looking at buying a 2004 Chaparral 260 Signature cruiser with a 6.2L MerCruiser w/Bravo 3 Outdrive. This boat does have a generator. Does anyone have experience with this boat and if Chaparral has had any issues with it? Also I want to still do some skiing and tubing. Will this boat be able to plane and pull? How does Chaparral compare to Sea Ray? I understand this is not the perfect ski boat but this boat fits my other needs and possiably occasional skiing.

You might be able to pull a skier around, but I would think the skier would have to start on two skis to get up. And, I would guess the wake would be large to the point of it being pretty hard to do much, other than get towed around a bit.

Wakeboarding would probably be better I would think. :)

Hi there!
We experimented with this with my 1998 300 signature and I couldnt get out of the whole shot even with twin V8's

So we broke out the tube!
