Anyone interested in b-ball? I'm a big Laker's fan, especially now that we have Gasol! He's made the Lakers fun to watch again.

I'm not much of a B-Ball fan myself, more of a "puck-head" and a Leafs fan.

Maybe I'll get more into B-Ball if the Raptors start doing better.

Although the sport is growing down here and the Ducks are doing their thing again this year, I'm not a big hockey fan. Between basketball and football, I'm pretty well covered.

Well brotha, I've been watching hockey all my life and I played for a number of years as well - and I haven't seen the Toronto Maple Leafs get past the Semi-Finals.

So you're blessed to have the Ducks win the Cup and be right in the thick of things again this year.

There are "big time" rumours about Brian Burke leaving the ducks and becoming the Leafs GM this summer. Brian keeps poo-pooing them, but many times where there's smoke there's fire.

So far, just rumors. Burke has said he's happy in Anaheim and has no intention of going anywhere else. Burke has put us on the map, no one here wants to see him go.

Well what we've heard is sorta the same. However, we've also heard the owner has told him if he wants to go, he won't stand in his way. And we've also heard that he has been offered a very long term contract that so far has gone unsigned.

Supposedly, part of his motivation for moving back to Canada relates to his wife who is in television. Supposedly her career aspirations would be better fulfilled up here as the story goes.
