Greetings from Trout Lake in North Bay! Trout lake is our boat's home port.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice for a good boat launch on Lake Muskoka that has parking for my truck and trailer while I spend a day on the lake. I was going to use the launch down at the new waterfront in Gravenhurst, but I have heard that it might be closed due to repairs during this summer, and that the launch is in rough shape. Any better suggestions?

Also, is there any anchorages to hang out at on the lake? I have the chart, but no local knowledge.

Cheers!

Hi boatnuts - nice to have you with us.

I was down at Gravenhurst last year and people were using the ramp. I haven't been there this year though.

I know Pride of Muskoka in the Bracebridge area has a decent set up. Not sure what they charge though.

I know Chris E one of our members knows that area decently well, perhaps he'll chime in with some options. :)

Thanks for the info Chris! I have seen that list before, and was hoping to get down around the lake to scout some of these launch options before taking the boat down... not so sure I will get to though.

The idea of launching at pride is a good one! I will give them a call to verify and see what they charge before I go.

Cheers!

You're welcome.

Hopefully you'll get some good weather, it's been pretty lousy lately.

Take some pics if you go and let us know how your trip went. :)
