I am looking for an in dash compass for my f/s deck boat.

I found a RITCHIE in dash unit, ut it says it is only for a 16' boat. (Bass Pro)

I didn't know htat a compass would only work with a "certain size boat". I thought a cmpass was a compass.

Anyone ??

Just guessing, but maybe it gets effected by the amount of magnetic material near it?

I think most people are just buying GPS's now as you get the direction and so much more.
