My son got his driving permit this week.

(Here comes the gray hair !!!!!!! )

Really, he will be o.k. I have the faith in him !!!!!!!!!

Can you put him on your insurance as an "occasional driver" only?

That's what I did back when I first driving and it wasn't too bad.

Ins. agent is going to list himon "my truck", which is the oldest vehicle we have. (A '01 F-150 4 X 4 ).

It won't be too bad, I hope. Well see.

I know for me when I was young, I was actually listed on the policy but we listed my use as occasional to keep the rates down. Years later the fact that I had been listed on the insurance policy, seem to be a positive for getting better rates as a more active driver, as I had a traceable insurance history.
