Hi, guys. I'm new here. Lookin' for a short shaft tiller 40 hp Yamaha.

Preferably freshwater...

Thanks for any info.

Nathan, thanks for the reply.

The area I'm in, is Murrell's Inlet, just south of Myrtle Beach.

I've checked both eBay and Craigslist. So far, only in the Carolinas, and no short shaft tiller 40 Yamaha's.

Nathan, you're a good hunter. The Columbia 40 is a long-shaft. I'm talking to the owner, as we speak. Otherwise, it's what I want. I dive and I get into some obscure, shallow landings, sometimes. That's why I don't want the long shaft.

As you say, the Sumter motor is a short shaft, but, no tiller. You can change them, of course, but it's pricey to do, for me, and I'm also a bit leery of the fact that it's been hotted up with boring, etc. Not sure what that would do to reliability, and I wouldn't need the extra pzazz on a 16 foot Duracraft jonny.

Thanks for the assistance.

And also, thanks to you, Chris. This place is a real asset to us boaties.
