I would like to know if I can replace the starter on my boat with a auto parts store starter or do I have to use a marine type starter. I am living on a small pension. any advice will be helpful. Thanks

hi Ric I have a 1969 tom sawyer boat made by mark twain boats in Misouri, the left half of the windshield is brocken, a local glass shop said to bring in the frame only for replacement, I can't see how to take it apart, any help would be great.
