The motor as it gets its turn in getting sprayed . The mid section and lower unit took a few coats more than everything else . After it would dry you could see through the primer . But once it had a nice build it got a shot of epoxy also ......
Finally got the wrap all cleaned up and ready for the etching primer .
Now has a nice coat of etching primer on and ready for epoxy primer over top

Ive called Mercury Marine with the part number that I need and they found a dealer in arizona that still showed the cable in stock . I called the dealer and yes you guessed it they sold it . The computer showed sept 2010 ....
Those are really nice John . It feels like spring here right now . It raining like crazy and 40 degs . Snow is just about gone again . I hope it stays gone this time . I ready to start working on the boats .
Thanks John . I love the inlines they are by far my favorite motor . I think the inlines look the best on the older mates. They might be the most powerful motor but I stand by them . And they do sound awesome . So much different than the V-6's
Just remember tho if the carb got gumed up from the old gas/oil mixture it will need to be taken apart and cleaned . Also check the plugs . They could be fouled from running it with the choke on . Might need a new set
Picked up a few Mercury chopper props . A 24 p Chopper and a 26 p Chopper . Cant wait to try them both out and see what prop is better .Its gunna be a fun Summer :surf:
