Yeah, the 1600's are cool boats. Not too many manufacturers are building anything performance minded in that size anymore. It's too bad really. The Tuff 16 is another really awesome small boat. :) -Chris

    Want fast small boat ??

The way the hulls are designed is they have a very wide pad on the bottom of them. Very wide! So I'm not sure how they would handle to be honest. And I'm not sure if the new ones are exactly the same as the the originals. The other thing to keep in mind is, that the Jewel's are pretty short -...

    Want fast small boat ??

Welcome aboard ATV - nice to have you with us. :thumb: I'm really not sure what the capabilities of the Jewel hull are. It's sort of a updated retro hull. Hitting 60 with a 90 is a challenge, you're going to definitely need a light-weight hull. The other consideration is how safely you can...

What models are they? Checkmate used to send me pics all the time for the gallery and the forums, but that's pretty well stopped since Bill sold the company. I'm not sure why really... -Chris

TB, those things are awesome! On the way up to our cottage, there is a guy who sells carts and he has some really neat ones. He's got ones that look like '57 Chevs, 4X4's and all kinds of other crazy custom models. But man-o-man are they pricey! I couldn't believe how expensive some of...

The winter around Toronto has been pretty tame. :) Hopefully the snow levels will stay fairly low so we can get back to cottaging and boating early this year. :thumb: -Chris

Here's a shot of the Tuff 16 with the optional race hatch lifted. Under the removable hatch are a couple more seats. Here's a shot of a black and yellow Tuff 21 that was also at the show. The Tuff 21 was equally amazing looking - I sure wouldn't mind one of these. :thumb:

I'm glad you're enjoying the pics John, I'm hoping they'll get me through to the spring thaw! :) Unfortunately, I didn't see any Avenger's at the show. I had read before the show, that Roy Lewis - the dealer I mentioned before that carried Avengers - didn't have a booth this year at all, and...

    Nascar 2010 Changes...

Any Nascar fans out there? I was wondering if y'all had heard about the changes for 2010 and what you thought if anything. If you haven't heard, NASCAR is supposedly relaxing some of the rules and trying to make things a little more exciting. So they've eliminated the bump drafting rules...

Hi TM, You have to be a supporting member on the forums to use the attachment feature - that's why it's not there. The other option you have, is that you can upload your pics to one of the photo-gallery brand categories and then post them that way. If I haven't created a category for your...

2010 Toronto International Boat Show Coverage

One of the hi-lites of the show for me the last few years has been the combo Tuff Marine and J-Craft booth. I got to spend a bit of time chewing the fat with Chris Spaeth (Inline Six) and Mark Weigl from Tuff Marine this year, which was fun. Here's few shots of one of Mark's boats, a Tuff 16...
