    79 Crestliner Cursader 770 Restoration

I'd love to see some of those Skiff's. ;) With regard to the gel, basically what you said is what I've heard are some of the challenges. Wet-sanding and then spraying clear is a good option that many choose. Or, if the gel is totally shot, then there's obviously paint with an optional coat of...

Ray that's awesome! I appreciate you taking the time to share those pics with us. What was your approach with the gel and how did it turn out? I know many say it's really hard to work with unless it's in the initial lay up. -Chris

A challenge for Chris or anyone else with a tin boat.

Our cottage is just a little old cabin - so it's not winterized. The hope is to one day build something that can be used all year round. :) My story is very similar to yours in that my Grandparents were the first on our lake and now I have property near where there original cottage is...

Cant find anyone with a AMF Crestliner Crusader

My Aunt has a Crusader. I'm just not sure what model it is though. It's about 16' long and is rated for 100 H.P. I'll have to take some pics of it this summer for you. :) -Chris

A challenge for Chris or anyone else with a tin boat.

We have to wait until the road into the cottage clears up. :yell: There is a hill going in and it doesn't get that much sun during the winter months. So it tends to stay snow covered a bit longer as it's in the shade. Once the hill clears up a bit, then we can probably get in with the...

    Trailer hitch accessory

I actually thought along the lines of what John mentioned. What if there was a ball under a removable cowling. Pull the cowling off and you're ready to tow. Once done, put the cowling over the top to protect the ball and make it look cool. Something like that would be pretty neat. :) -Chris

    Crestliner Cursader 770

Well, basically as I recall AMF Inc. was the manufacturer and I think they were later purchased by Genmar holdings and folded into Genmar. Perhaps someone will know the whole history and share it. So what I'll do is I'll create a AMF category for you. I think my uncles model was the...
