Winterizing those cheap rubber pump impeller

In my glastron I have a rubber impeller Jabsco or Johnson Pump. The housing is plastic and one problem I have had was after taking it out of storage it the impellers sieze on the housing and shear off.

Do you have any suggestions for lubricants, etc. that would not eat into the impeller?

When you install a new rubber impeller, Normally the service manuals will recommend using dish soap.:thumb:
