So very sad and very avoidable.
This exact situation could happen locally here at the Walkers Point, Canada Day fireworks in Muskoka.

Always very wary of this.

We spent the fourth on Coralville Lake here, with my Mother in law, and niece and nephew.
It gets hairy at dusk. Its the first time Ive done this there...This is a small lake...but many drive like it isnt. And many are college kids with mom and dads boat, and plenty of booze..

Scares me.

SO SAD.

We were out on the water for the Dominion Day fireworks... I can tell you when we left the bay (last in-first out) guys were really on the throttle. My buddy was driving a 23' Cobalt and we were passed at high speed several times. When you looked behind us... well, I've seen less red & Green on Christmas trees!

Given we saw quite a few boats without lights I believe it's just a matter of time before we have our own tragedy....
