Legendary explorer Ernest Shackleton's famous ship, the Endurance, which he had to abandon in 1915 on his ill-fated Antarctic expedition, is probably still in very good condition on the ocean floor.
This sounds like a similar situation to the 1812 warships, USS Scourge and USS Hamilton, 200 year old ships on the bottom of Lake Ontario...perfectly preserved. Also HMS Ontario at the bottom of lake Ontario in 450 ft of water is said to be pristine in condition. Cold clean water seems to be the key.
the difference with the Endurance is it lies in salt water.
