Newbie Here, How ya doin? Got a boat, Now I need to figure out how to use it. 1972

Picked up a 72 Schuster 21 jet boat from a guy down the street....
long story short, and just a few items on the needs to be done list are...

Fuel Pump issue. One pump, two tanks, one is getting fuel pulled out of WAY more than the other, why?

Nex big one is, how do i repair/test the floats in the tanks to make the new fuel gauges work?

Is there a way to test a bow light?

That might wet your wistle
