Running old stuff -- a 17' 1981? Checkmate (really showing her age) with a 1981 Mercury 115hp "Tower of Power" at the lake and on the ocean a 27' North End Marine fiberglass dory with a cabin and 35 hp Johnson in a well (yes you read correctly it is only a 35hp). That is the way it came when I bought it 2nd hand and have never got around to re-powering it yet.

I posted a photo of the dory in photos -- it is not really home made -- but the manufacturer has not been in business for a couple decades or so -- I was once told that some of the plans etc form them went to Cape Dory but have never confirmed that it was so long ago. Would certainly like to know what the max. hp it was designed for.
