My 115/140 Suzuki Outboard is running great
But after about 1 min of full throttle it starves for fuel
Am i better off putting in an electric fuel pump rather than rebuild the original pump

Happy New Year GG

Are you sure it's the fuel pump?

Could it be something like a small leak in the fuel line, or a plugged or damaged pickup, or clogged filter etc.?

Personally, I've always just stuck to factory setups for my toys - in the end it seems like I have less problems that way. And now with many of the newer motors being more sophisticated with things like fuel injection etc., I just feel more so that way.

Is your gas tank vented properly? Are your fuel filters clear? Any kinks in your fuel hose? How is your fuel pump running? Do you have floating trash in your tank? Any loose connections letting air in your lines? Those questions come to my mind.
