The Checkmate forums are up and running and have been since late last night.
If you arrive at the site and the forums are still closed, this is as a result of the domain name pointer not being updated in your area. Which basically means you are being pointed towards the old server where a defunct copy of the forums still exists but are shut down. It sometimes takes a bit of time for all the different areas of the web to get updated when the IP address connected to a domain changes, which was part of the server update.
Once the domain propogates you will arrive at the Checkmate site and it will be open and should appear as normal.
In the mean time, you can also access the site by using the following url although there will be some functionality limitations.
