We are facing a problem finding a Mercruiser 4.3L and alpha one gen one o/d for our craft. One suggestion was putting a jack plate on the stern and hanging a couple of 250's on her. How much trouble would we be getting into?:surf:

North Americans are good heavy boats (had a 24 cuddy). But if left in the water are prone for stringer and transom rot. Be sure and check the O/D seals as they can have a trendency to leak and rot also. Good luck with it we enjoyed ours, good rough water boat.
