:welcome: OJ. Look forward to seeing pictures of what you come up with. Hey! That reminds me that I have yet to upload pictures of my boat..... Oh for shame!:)

Thanks guys. Under your advice closely inspected the transom seal, and while at first glance it looked ok, there is a small crack in the rubber. It is not completely through, but definitely I will replace it before I put it on the water. :bigthumb:

Thanks Chris, I'm concerned with the out drive for now. So I'll take your advice, then see what happens. I was told it's a Stringer, do you have any idea how to determine the make and model byway of serial #s or other identifying markings?

I have 4.3 Omc/Gm I/O. It has been sitting for 5 years and the outdrive was rebuilt 3 years previous to that. It was only used a few times, and then it was parked. My question is is there and thing that can go wrong with from sitting? (ie. Dried Gaskets or o-rings, something not outwardly...

Problem Solved Thank's Dave. I went back to the gent that I bought the boat from, and as luck would have it he had a smaller bow for my bimini (he thought it was for another boat he had). Anyway, I have it now and the only thing missing is are the hinges, not a problem! Your post was very...

    Exhaust Fumes in Engine Compartment

The advice to fill them up to prevent moisture build up seems reasonable, but that's my best advice. It's not going to hurt anything to drain some off, let the engine compartment air out and see what happens. (something easy to do while waiting for more posts!):) Good Luck! :D

    Exhaust Fumes in Engine Compartment

If the fumes are strong, and there are no apparent leaks my next guess is the fuel tank. Did you fill the tanks absolutely full? If so, the tank could be venting the excessive pressure(and fumes) into the engine compartment. Just a thought. I'm not a boat tech, but know bit about autos.....:)

How about a good dealership post ??

If anyone knows of a good shop in Las Vegas I love to hear about them! I'm looking for a good shop to handle the more advanced repairs I can't handle.

Real close! Actually that looks very similar. Except my top is longer, and the bow mounts farther back on the boat. I've found straps that also look similar. But on the bow itself, both sides equally have a discolored spot on them, like there was some sort of brackets on it (close to the center...

Thanks for responding. No, the cover is like a bimini. I read that it was called a convertible top rather than a bimini because the front of it snaps onto the windshield. Other than that they seem to be pretty similar, but like I said, I only have one bow (or at least I think that's what they...

I'll try again Ok, I will try to be more concise. I only have one bow, and the only things on it are two mounting brackets on both ends. So, once the cover is snapped to the windshield, I slide the bow through the opposite end of the cover and attach both ends to their respective hinge. Now...

OK, I will try to be more concise. Is there such a thing ,as a single bow type set up? And in reference to the bow that I do have, the only things on it are the two mounting points at the ends.... So, when once the cover is snapped to the windshield, I slide the bow through the cover, attach...
