I'm very glad to see this photo. I had a copy of this brochure that was lost in a fire some years ago- the importance was that Dad bought one new in 1967 and I have many years enjoying the Volero 217 we had. It was originally powered with a 283 Chev rated at 185hp with an OMC outdrive. After we wore it out, a Chev 350/4-bolt main engine with a Quadrajet and a Crane Fireball cam went in- Dad needed more oomph to pull him up on slalom with a crowd in the boat. One of the most interesting items on the boat was the original LearJet 8-track tape player mounted under the engine controls. We were the first in our area to have a sound system on a boat, and boy was it an attention getter when you stopped in at a marina with the stereo belting out Nancy Sinatra or Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass....

I know where the boat is today, sitting ignominiously out in the woods on it's bottom, the trailer having been the only reason the guy bought it- and I want to rescue it Somehow!
